Colleges.....here we come!!!

Cody and I made our first college visit this past weekend.

First stop....TCU

What a great school and beautiful campus.

We spent Saturday driving around looking at everything.

In the afternoon Cody headed to some tailgating parties and off to the TCU vs. NAVY football game.

Sunday morning woke up and visited the school book store for the 3rd time. Then we headed to our scheduled tour. What a great tour. We got to see some of the new buildings, the library, cafeteria, finance building, church and the most important of them all .....the inside of a dorm.

I would say it was a great visit.

Now, were off to the next college stop, TEXAS A & M.....

Cody and Morgan.

Cody went to homecoming with his girlfriend Morgan.

They had pictures at the Van De Walle house after that they

went to eat dinner at Paesanos then they headed to the dance.

After the dance Cody's group of 30 kids came to our house for the after party.

We had kids at our house until 3 a.m....

So glad that is over, I need some sleep!!!

Kyle went with Nicki to homecoming.

After pictures a party bus pick up his group and they went to dinner at

the Spaghetti Warehouse and then to the dance.

Kyle said he had a awesome time at the dance.

After the dance Kyle and his group went to the Dawson's, where they pulled an all nighter playing poker until 8 a.m.

#63 had a great game, playing center.

The Reagan rattlers played Alamo heights and played their hearts out.

Connor played in his first middle school football game!!!

We had to start our first game off with a run through banner!!

(which I made) for my first one I think it turned out pretty good and the

most important thing is the boys got a kick out of it.

UT GAME

I took Cody and his friends Connor and Logan to the UT football game.

I was so excited to go since we only have 4 season tickets and with 3 boys hip mom is the first one left out....so when they needed me to take them I jumped on that.

We had a blast. We got there and enjoyed sitting in the INZONE club before the game and boys really enjoyed checking out the UT cheerleaders

Here's where all the fun really started.

The boys brought a vuvuzela (which means really loud and annoying horn)

on the way out of the stadium they were blowing it at the fans having a good ole time...

all the fans got a kick out of it.

While we were at a light, they blow it out the window and the car next to us had their window down....lets just say it scared the $#*! out of them.

The UT fans in the car next to us called us mother F-ers....and we all laughed.

We sat there for about a minute when all of the sudden we hear this bang...

My first thought was holy crap I just hit someone or someone just hit us...

OH NO...we finally see it....

the boys in the car next to us...threw a sausage on the hood of my car.

Yes you heard me right a .....SAUSAGE!!!

It must have been leftover from their pre-game BBQ.

And heres the evidence......

We got sausaged...

It really was quite FUNNY....

We laughed the whole way home!!!

Connor is playing for his 7th grade middle school team.

Football Injury

It's official......we have a football injury.

Kyle broke his thumb during football practice on Wednesday. After the trainer looked at it again on Thursday he said we need to get x-rays. They sent us over to the Spurs Sports Clinic Thursday morning. After taking x-rays its official. Kyle has a broken thumb.

He is out for 4-6 weeks!!!!

Since this is our 5th broken bone in 22 months, I'm just rolling with the punches.

I guess this is one of the perks of being the mom of BOYZ!!!!!!

Just got a phone call from the trainer at Reagan telling us that he thinks Kyle has broken his finger and he will need to get an x-ray....

The good thing is they set this up for us so I am just waiting to hear what time I have to take him!

I guess this is part of having 3 boys that all play football.

oh, no it's me!!!!

Today is the big day and I turned 40!

Nothing bad happened, my boobs are still up-right, my butts not sagging and I don't have any new wrinkles!!!! YEA....

I'm off to a wonderful lunch at Silos and we have a dinner party tonight to celebrate.

My way to hip hubby is throwing me a 40th b-day party this Saturday night with all of our friends and family. (can't wait for that and I can't wait to see my cake)

I just got one of my presents,,,,I know everyone will say how spoiled....

But, hubby booked us a family vacation and we leave Sunday after the party to.................

DISNEY WORLD, just the most magical place on earth!!!!

I am so excited and the boys can't wait, we all just love it there....

So, I guess this will be a 2 week celebration for the big 40!!!

I know I have been a bad blogger, but just cut me some more slack for the next 2 weeks and I promise I will be back with more!!!!!

It does make me feel soooooooo popular that everyone is asking where I am and sending me emails. I have been at market for the past week SHOPPING ( I am still trying to convince my hubby that I was working) I was there getting stuff for my new store....

On the other hand, I will be out of blog-land again starting this Tuesday....

Believe it or not I am having to have another surgery....yes, I said surgery.

I have to have my gall bladder removed!!!!

So I think I will be down and out for a week or so.....

Today was CHRISTMAS for me.....

Hubby had got me a Jon Hart purse and make-up bag for Christmas. He did not know which on I wanted so the store let him take one for Christmas and then I could go in and order one. Well, it came in today! I was so excited to pick it up....

Here it is! I picked leopard (go figure) with a black leather.

On the make-up bag I had them add my name (just incase I forget it- you never know)

So, I have already changed out my purse and I am ready to go....

A night with FRIENDS...and one wired woman

Last week my BBB (best bloggin buddy) Jill a.k.a. onewiredwoman called me to tell me that her and the family were coming to S.A. for a mini-vaca!!! I was so excited. We have been extremely busy this holiday season but they came at the perfect time and we were able to see them!!! Yea!!! They were staying downtown which was great because it forced us to go there. (you know locals never do the tour thing)
We met them at their hotel and they we went to eat at Rain Forest . I just love Jill and Matt they are so easy going and our families get along so well. I really do wish they lived here!

I was having a real bad camera night. All of my pictures were coming out dark. This is one of the great sights that we saw downtown. Santa and the reindeers....all sparkly.

After we ate we walked around the very crowded riverwalk. Jill and family were staying at the Hyatt so we hung out there for awhile. There is not a lot of room on the riverwalk and with one wrong step you can get wet, so the kids were getting antsy. Poor Matt had not been feeling well so later that night he took a turn for the worse and had to up to his hotel room (of corse no kids allowed). All in all we had a great night. I just love Jill and if you don't know her she is one of the funniest person I know. I think that night we must have said, "Bon Qui Qui" , "I will cut you" and "rou"( for rude) like 100 times and my kids were telling me to be quite!!!(what-ev) Great to see you guys. Jill call me this week "ROU"

Cotton Bowl or Bust???

The ganged head out the door this morning to drive back up to Dallas to see the Cotton Bowl!

All the boyz were so excited. Texas tech and Old Miss are playing. I know we would have been much more excited to see UT there,,,,,but oh well.

Hip hubby and the boyz are going back to the Parrott's house and going with then to the game. Since our family only has 4 tickets guess who stayed behind? Me.....and I have gotten so much stuff done around the house today. I have just piddled all day. Tomorrow I am going to take a shower and get out of my p.j. to do some shopping.

Friends, fun and Phelps

This past weekend we drove to Dallas to spend the weekend with our friends

the Parrotts. Forrest works for AT&T and just got relocated to Dallas a few months ago! We were so excited to spend some time with them and the kids could not wait to see Jessica and Jacob.

The kids had a blast!!! We woke up Saturday morning and Dallas had a tornado watch so the kids entertained themselves with a game of twister!!!

Their new home is so beautiful! We just love hangin with the Parrott's they are so laid back and just go with the flow! We had relaxing and great weekend!

Jessica is a big time swimmer and loves Michael Phelps. This is one of her Christmas presents, her dad had a contact and he got Michael Phelps to send her an autographed poster. I just had to take a picture of it, I thought it was way too cool!

Down here in Texas we have to make our own snow!!! We drive to the nearest

craft store and buy it in a bag.

Down here in Texas this is the closest that we are going to come to having a

white Christmas! If you squint your eyes it does kinda look like snow!!!

Connor's 5th grade celebrated their WINTER WONDERLAND PARTY on Friday!!

Notice I called it winter wonderland because we have to be politically correct and we can not say Christmas!!!(but don't even get me started on that)

This is my PTA position 5th grade celebrations! ( I have done it for Cody and Kyle) so they suckered me into doing it one last time.

The kids all had a blast!!!!

Just one glitch with the party...we did not have electricity until about noon and the party stated at 1:15. So we we all getting a little nervous. That's why you see me in my wonderful baseball cap, no dryer, no flat-iron, no fixen' the hair!

p.s. I forgot to tell you that Connor got his cast off last week and he has to wear a splint for 2 weeks...

I was so excited to see this on my front porch when I got home!!

A few months ago I started blogging with the double-darling Miss Anne.

She suggested that we do a swap! One of my pieces of jewelry for one of her canvases.

Not only did I get this way too cute package she also included some labels for my new business!

How sweet is she????

This is my " FREAKIN" WAY TOO COOL canvas that she made. I just told her I want a big letter H on it and love the colors black and brown and for her to surprise me!!!

Well, she not only surprised me but but it is perfect!!!

The big letter H, blacks, browns, a crown (she nailed that one) and she added a saying

"family runs deeper that anything else."

Oh, I just love it!!!!

And she even added some bling-bling (a girl after my own heart)

The "stupid","bloody", Christmas cards are done!!!

I have finally finished the Christmas cards!!!!

I'm just a little behind this year. I would normally have them mailed by now. But this year, I decided to wait until the most popular day of the year to mail them out! Did you know that today is the #1 day of the year to mail things out????

Here is where the bloody part comes in. I got a really bad paper cut. Can you see my little finger all bloody? I promise I did not compromise any of the cards!

This is the first time in a while that I have bought cards and placed my own picture on them. Well, apparently the card people think that we are really stupid, because they have this printed on EVERY card.

HORIZONTAL OR VERTICAL = because we think you would put it diagonally

ACCOMMODATES 4x6= because you might be stupid and use a 8x10.

So after doing about 75 of these, and reading this on

I'm Back.......

I'm back......

I know I have been a very bad blogger! With everything that has been going on all I can say is that I have been in a funk. You all know that I had my surgery and had the lump removed. So glad that is over. It took me about 3 days to fully get back into the swing of things. I had to wait 2 yes 2 weeks that is 14 long days for the results. Hip hubby and I went last Thursday and the doctor came in and the first words out of his mouth were "it's all good" I am clear, I have nothing and I am good to go........YEA!!! I felt like the wait of the world has been lifted.

So I have so much to tell you guys.....

I have been working on opening up a store (web site store) It's called are you ready for this

Isn't that so me! I am having the web site built right now so it is under construction.

IF you are wondering about the painting? This is something that little old me made. I will have others to sale on the site along with all of my sparkly jewels, hats, and I am having a line of t-shirts designs......

I just had to show off my 3 heart canvas. This is my world.....3 hearts for my 3 boyz, crowns cuz they are the crown jewels of my life, bling because they light up my life and leopard well just cuz mama like her some leopard.

I just love this blogging community. I love how all of you support each other it's just a wonderful thing. I really thought I would not share this with you, but I have decided that this blogging community can really offer some wonderful prayers and support. With that said, I am going to have surgery this Thursday! I have a lump in my breast that needs to be removed. I have known this for weeks/months. Now that the day is getting closer my mind is running wild with thoughts of being scared. I think I will be fine once the doctors give me the I.V. (that I.V. really scares the crap out of me). So all I ask is for you to keep hip mom of boyz in your prayers on Thursday and everything will be o.k.

Now on that sad note I have decided to decorate my home for Christmas today, what a better way to keep me busy and my mind on happy thoughts.

And this is the x-ray that the doctor took after he re-broke Connor's arm. Yes, he re-broke it so he could put it back in to place...

I really do think that we are going to need some good therapy after going through that.

The Anniversary Day continues.....

As the world turns. All my children. Days of our lives.

This is what my day felt like yesterday. I have decided that I could have my own reality t.v. show!

I took Kyle to the doctors yesterday at 2:00. The doc said he thought it could be an appendix attack but we would need to get some tests run to make sure. So he sends us the hospital. (yes the same hospital that I was just at on Saturday with Connor) We wait about an hour ( I have decided that they have no sense of urgency at hospitals) They start an I.V. and take Kyle back to do a cat-scan. The results come back negative. Yea. So I take Kyle home only to have him crying and in pain most of the night. Still don't know what it is. Connor was in pain most of the night after having his arm re-broke by his doctor. So he was jacked-up on Tylenol with codeine. So last night as I was giving him his dose so he could go to bed, I took a swig, and yes I did steal my child's meds. Both Connor and I slept like little babies.

To Tom and I have been married for 18 years!!!

We decided to have a low key day. I mean really what do we need?

So this is how our low key day has gone so far.....(it's only 1:30)

I take Connor to his doctors appt. Tom has a breakfast meeting. My BFF Isabel knows the ortho doctor so she meets me up there. While we are waiting to be seen I get a call from Kyle, he is in the nurses office. So, I ask to speak to the nurse and she tells me that she thinks Kyle might be having an appendix attach. GREAT!!!! It tell her to keep him in the nurses office and I will get up there as soon as I am done with Connors dr. appt. O.K. so I start to fill out the paper work and my phone rings again, this time it is Cody and he thinks that he has the wrong shoes for basketball try outs today and can I come and get him to get some new shoes,,,,,Are you kidding me? So I call my mom and like the good grammie that she is she picks Cody up from school runs him to the mall and gets him the right shoes (just keep in mind that the kid has every pair if basketball shoes in the world).

And then they call us back for Connors appt. They take a new x-ray and the Dr. comes in and says he is going to have to set the arm,,,,well lets just say that did not go over well with Connor at all. The Dr. tells him he can just do it or he can numb his arm. Connor says No thats o,k, I'm just going to get a cast...o.k. my poor baby, they are going to have to fix your arm....and the crying begins.....First Connor, then me and then Isabel. So we convince him to get the shot. He gets the shot and is still pissed off at the world (which I don't blame him) so we wait a while and the Dr. comes back in and says he is going to check and see if it is numb,,,,,LIAR,,,he pops Connors arm one way and then pops it back in to place....Holy Mother of Pearl,,,,that was awful.....I don't wish that on anyone. I know he was just doing his job and it was for the best that he just did it and did not give us any warning, but good gravy that hurt Connor......

So all is well now and he has the camo cast.

Tom picked up Kyle and I am taking him to the Dr. at 2:00. I will let you know about that....

An Angel with a broken wing....

We almost made it out of the football season with no injuries. I did say almost.

Kyle finished his last football game on Tuesday. Cody finished his last football game on Saturday morning. Connor had his semi-championship game on Saturday at 12:30.

With just seconds left in the 2nd quarter, Connor catches the ball and runs for the touchdown, at the 9 yard line he gets tackled. At first it really did not register with me that it was Connor that was down. I saw all of the coaches run over to him and the stands were very quite. Everyone telling me he is going to be o.k. (you know that thing the us mom's do when a kid is hurt). I see my hubby running back across the field and he is waving for me to come on the field. So I'm still thinking o.k. not too bad.....Wrong! Hubby then shouts "go get your car". I then scream "what? how bad is it?? I just grab my purse and head for the car, leaving my camera and camera bag. My mother-in-law says she will ride with us. We go get the car and I pull up to get Connor.....I wait oh about 30 seconds and then get out of the car and people are telling me he is still laying down on the field. So at this point I just leave the car and run out on the field and as I am getting closer to him, the coaches have him up and walking to the car with a piece of wood under his arm for support. My sweet friend Barbie (yes, she does kinda look like a barbie-doll) says she is going to drive us to the hospital...Hip hubby is in his car following us. Barbie driving, my mother-in-law in the front and me and Connor in the back and like the good mom that I am I still managed to get the seat belt on him. But forget about me I am on my knees in the middle of the suburban holding him. We make it to the hospital and we get in right away. By this time we have 6 people with us me, Tom, my mom, Barbie, and my in-laws. We go back and they put us in a room. We wait about 15 minutes for x-rays. By the time the x-ray girl comes to get Connor we now have about 15 people in Connors room. Tom and I go with him to the x-rays and YES it is broken......Connor broke is arm right below the wrist.

Would you believe that with 3 boyz all playing sports this is our first broken bone that has to have a cast?

This is the look you get after you hear the doctor say that the orthopedic surgeon might have to manipulate your arm....Oh let's just say that did not go over very well with the patient.

Yea,,,we're out of here. Look how cute Connor looks with his sling and his football pants. Notice the no shoes! It was hard to walk on the floor with the cleats on.

We go the the ortho doctor tomorrow morning so I will keep you posted.

Cody's Surprise Party!!!

Yea,,,I pulled one over on the kid.

I called some of his friends and asked them to tell the kids that we were having a surprise party for Cody. I was so nervous on Sunday, not really knowing exactly how many kids would show up. We tricked Cody into thinking that we were just going to eat dinner really quick. Little did he know what we were up to. I am still in shock that I pulled this over on him.

I was so excited to see that about 30 of his close friends showed up to help us celebrate his b-day.

I was so proud of Cody. Here he is working the table making sure that he gets to see and talk to everyone.

Hook em' HORNS....

Cody got to take 2 of his friends to the UT/Oklahoma State game on Saturday. Hip hubby took the boys up for some UT fun and football. Me, Kyle and Connor stayed here and went to our good friends going away party. We did watch the game on t.v. and all I have to say is W.O.W.

I'm glad that Coach Mac Brown and all of the UT players got my memo to put on a REALLY GOOD game for Cody's b-day....ha,ha.

Today was a fun day. Filled with family,friends and shopping. My 3 favorite things. I met my mom and my bff Isabel at Market Ole' it is put on by the Junior League. They had tons of vendors, great mamosisa and awesome stuff! I go every year with my mom and we shop til ya drop. So I thought I would share some of the cool stuff I got, because when hip hubby gets the bill I may no longer be around, ha, ha. I got this cool note cards with the heart and cross on them. Don't you just love the live out loud canvas sign?

O.K. way to cute..and I know what you are thinking, why did she buy that when she can make it? Well, cuz I loved it and I will totally copy it. And check out the cute live out loud t-shirt...

I walk out of the house into the garage and this is what I walk over. So, I run back into the house and scream like a little girl. Thank goodness hubby had stopped by to make some phone calls. He runs out and grabs the shovel and kills the snake (sorry all of you animal lover). So that's it...I'm out of here. Seriously I am packing my bags and moving to another house. If you have followed me then you know that this is the 4th snake in the same spot in 6 months. I'm telling you I think I have a snake convention going on in our back yard or maybe it's because we back up to the golf course. I don't know but I am freakin' out. I told hip hubby that we need to move before one of us gets eaten alive by a snake.....he did not think that was too funny. I told him I'm serious....I'm out of here....

Baseball Sunday

This weekend Connor had a football game Saturday morning and a baseball tournament in Austin. My mom and dad took Connor to Austin for his Saturday night games and they spent the night up there so that hubby and I could stay home and do the homecoming thing with Cody. Connor was excited to go with them because he knows that grammie and springer (they call my dad springer cuz they say he looks like Jerry Springer and the funny thing is, besides the fact that he does look like him, is his name is Jerry) will totally spoil him and he can get whatever he wants and they will take him wherever he wants to eat (soiled rotten)

Tom and I drove up Sunday for the second game. We just could not make the 8 a.m. game after getting no sleep the night before. Connor got to pitch this game and he did great.

I know crazy picture. I saw angelicagracedesigns take a picture of her sons shoes and I loved it. I just love the way that Connor turns his foot every time he bats....

The Stealers ended up not making it to the championship game, but we'll get em' next time.

Kyle "THE FOOTBALL GAME"

Kyle got to play football at the high school stadium this week.

It was so exciting to see him play on a turf field and to sit in the big stands !!

It felt like we were at a high school game instead of a middle school game.

Kyle got the ball thrown to him in the end zone for 2 extra points. The ball was thrown a little high and he was unable to catch the ball. But it was a great try.

Redemption!!!!! Kyle was thrown the ball and he had a one handed catch. It was beautiful.

We are so proud of him.

Tonight was Cody's first Homecoming! We were all so excited.

I love this picture of Cody with his posse of girls in the back. They all wanted hip hubby to drive them in the hummer. Hubby drove the kids to the restaurant. I followed them and hip hubby and I had dinner at another restaurant. I did not want to be seen with all of those kids! How embarrassing! (oh, yea that's what Cody told ME) J.K.

We ate and waited for them to call for the Hummer to pick them up. Hip hubby took them to the dance and I rushed over the Walgreens to have the pictures developed. One of the other parents is picking them up and taking them to a after party.(oh my goodness) Cody said that the after party is until 3 a.m. I told him to think again, cuz his after party was over at 1 p.m.

You know that I'll be waiting up to hear all of the details. Of course Cody will not tell me anything I will have to call one of the girls to get all the details.....That's the price you pay when you have boyz.......you get NO good juicy gossipy or details..

Hip hubby's sister's Lauren and Lindsey (in picture) both graduated from Reagan so they made Cody a mum for homecoming. It was so cute. I think I will have to take a lesson so that I can make our mums next year.

I was so excited for him to come home from school on Thursday. It was spirit day and all the kids trade mums with the person they are going to homecoming with. Cody got the cutest mum from Amanda.

It is sooooooo cute. I love it!!!! I think I was more excited than Cody was, but that's a boy thing.

REAGAN GALA

We went to the REAGAN gala on Friday night. The gala supports all of the sports clubs at the high school.

We got a table with some of our friends. Here is Michelle and Chris.

My very sweet friend Val and her hubby Denny went with us. I am so excited that they went. Val lived in S.A. for awhile and then her hubby got transfered to Arizona. After missing SA so much her hubby got transfered back to SA in January....yea we are all so excited. Friday was a big day for them, they closed on a new home and made it official they are here to stay. I just love her and her family, our family's mesh so well.

Earlier in the week, I found out that the gala theme was "go green." and the dress was casual, which meant wear you fav Reagan attire. I was excited now I can take back the outfit that I bought. I went out to find some cute leopard shoes to wear with jeans and a t-shirt. I went to DSW wear house since they just opened a new one by my house. I'm looking, and looking and looking and I turn the corner and see this bright, grass green shoes they are the perfect Reagan green color....so I had to have them. Thank goodness they were on sale ( I guess no one really buys grass green shoes) so I got them for $14.00 yea,,,,I thought what a bargain. I will probably never wear them again, so I don't feel too guilty since they were only $14.00.

Me and hip hubby! I wore my bling,bling shirt and if you look closely you can see the cute Reagan necklace that I made.

My mom and dad came over to watch the kids for us and hubby let her know that we were not going to bid on anything that we did not need. So , my mom and I are still laughing at the fact the hubby had to get the batboy for Connor in the silent auction and in the live auction hip hubby got carried away on bidding on the football boy for one of our big high school games for Kyle. SO after hip hubby spent $$$$ my mom and I have not stopped teasing him......

One year ago.....

It was one year ago, from Tuesday, October 7th. Hip hubby and I were with Connor and Kyle in Austin at a (you guessed it) baseball game. Cody decided to stay with my mom so that he could go with his friends to the high school football game. Cody and his friends were so excited, they painted their faces with green and black for the game. My mom called me that Saturday night and said that Cody was not feeling good but he still wanted to go to the game. She called me about an hour later and they were at the game and she said that Cody felt like he was going to get sick. I quickly said "get him out of there, cuz I don't want him to get sick in front of his friend". If that happened he would forever be know as the "kid that barfed at the high school football game".

So, I get a frantic phone call from my mom at 7 a.m on Sunday morning saying that Cody is feeling so bad that he wants her to take him to the hospital. I talk to Cody and I can tell by his voice that he was serious. So my mom takes him to the hospital and I get in the car to drive home. Hip hubby and the boyz stay in Austin. I get a call from my mom and she tells me that the Dr. thinks it's his appendix. So, I step on it putting the petal to the metal and I can clearly remember being flipped off by a truck with 3 men in it who had been hunting. They all had on their hunting attire. So, I proceed to slow down a bit.....calling my mom every 2 seconds.....I think I made it to the hospital in record time. The doc says that he wants to run some more test......so, 6 hours later.....we are still waiting....Cody at this point is cracking me up, cuz he is on morphine. Hip hubby at this point had borrowed some friends car and was driving back home. So after waiting about 7-8 hours the doc finally says "YES" he is having an emergency appendectomy. Now, I start to FREAK OUT.....where is hip hubby, all Cody wanted now was his dad. So after another hour of waiting for the operating room, hip hubby arrives. By this point I was so made because the poor kid had been in pain all day. The staff at the hospital assures me that everything is going to be a.o.k. Of course, Cody had to be sick on a SUNDAY, when the hospital operates at 1/2 staff and that is what took soooooo long to get an operating room. By this time, I just wanted to lick Cody's I.V. of morphine, so I could feel no pain. The surgery went great. By 11 p.m. we were in a room. Of course, they did not have any private-room's, even Hip Hubby was trying to bribe someone for a private room. It just was not going to happen. The only saving grace was that I was tired I could have cared less about sleeping on a fold out chair that makes into a bed, and I use the word" bed" loosely. Monday morning we got our first visitor Michelle at michellesloosewheel her mom was in the same hospital and she stopped by to visit. Then the boyz showed up. They had been calling all day and both of them had be crying, cuz they were so worried about Cody. They were so sweet.

Cody was the best patient. He had a revolving door of visitors. I think the nurses came in several times and had to ask people to leave, so he could rest. So all is well and Cody recovered. The funny thing about this story is I got the mail yesterday (one year ago to the day of the surgery) and there was a refund check from the hospital. I guess with us and our insurance we had over payed. Wow, hospitals are slow on refunds......

I've mentioned before that we have a sweet tea-cup Yorkie.

Well her she is....This is Baby Bella. She turned 1 in April and weighs 3 lbs.

She loves her leopard bed and all of her toys. If you look closely she has the worlds smallest dog bone in her mouth. I think the boyz have shoes that are bigger than she is. For as small as she is she has one heck of a loud bark....

REMEMBER THE SHATTERED WINDOW?

If you keep up with my blog you know that we had a golf ball go through our window. I had several window companies come out and give us bids.....OMG, I just wanted a piece of glass, I don't want to buy the company. The quotes I got were outrageous !!! I had no idea glass windows were so $$$$. Thank goodness one of our friends owns a construction company and said that he could send his guys over to fix it. So after they ordered the glass (which was a 10th of what the glass company wanted to install it) they came to install it. I had to move everything out of the living room and put it in the kitchen.

Or course the window that got broken had to be our biggest and highest window.

Do you love the new look? I'm a professional decorator and I really like the look of the sofa in the kitchen. Trust me it is going to catch on.

We also had them fix a window in our master bedroom. We have double pain windows and they can get moisture in them and they get all foggy. So when they went to break it they tapped it up so the glass would not fly everywhere. I took some pictures and then I had to leave. I can not stand the mess of everything and the broken glass everywhere was making me nervous. But, the guys did a great job and the windows look awesome and they were a fraction of the cost....Glad our friend Jake came to the rescue...

Connor's 11th B-DAY PARTY

Connor had his 11th birthday party at Laser Quest.

He had about 25 of his friends there to help him celebrate the big day.

(Really his b-day party was about 2 weeks late, with everyones schedule and all of our sporting events this was as soon as he could have it) I feel like his birthday has been a month long celebration.

Connor hates cake. I don't know where he gets that from. But the rest of us love cake so I ordered our favorite cake from COSTCO ( if you haven't tried one they are great). Me and the boyz are still eating it, we are so bad we don't even get a plate, just a fork.

Yesterday, I was at home while the guys were fixin' our window (remember the golf ball) so I'm getting all kinds of stuff done around the house. It's amazing what you can get done if you have to stay home. When all of the sudden I hear this crash in the laundry room. I kinda knew what it was, but I was praying I was wrong. Oh, yea the NEW bottle from Costco had just fell off the top of the washing machine and it went EVERYWHERE, I mean EVERYWHERE....

under the machine, on the walls, in between the widow and shutters, on the freezer and all over the floor....Just a little F.Y.I. laundry soap on tile is very slippery.... SO after about 10 rolls of paper towels I finally got it all cleaned-up. I guess the only good thing is that the laundry room smells really, really good....

This is one of the perks of having a Freshman in High school !!!

You get to come up with creative ways to ask girls to homecoming.

I have been racking my brain all week. Not to mention, I have been riding Cody to ask someone. I told him you have to ask early or there will be no one left to ask...

So yesterday, he finally tells me, that he is going to ask someone...

Yea, Yeppie, Way to go,,,,,,,,oh no, but wait he wants to do to it tonight and it was already 6.

So I start freaking out, cuz I really can't think of something that fast. So I start asking around during Kyle's football game. Thank goodness one of the moms has a senior and she had some great ideas. She told me to write words and put them in balloons and have her pop the balloons. O.K. that is way to cute....

So I leave the game and run to Hobby Lobby spend a fortune on papers, note cards, stickers, etc. Cuz I know I need to have a back up plan if Cody does not like this idea. The I rush over to Party City to get the balloon,,,,oh yea, I have to have the paper with the words on it to put into the balloon,,,o.k. so I had a brain fart....plan B, Just attach the words to the balloons and she can put the sentence together. This was a great idea then she would not have to pop the balloons and she could enjoy them for awhile. So after $$$$ at Party City ( I had to get the good balloons with the stuff they put in them so they last longer, by the way that is .50 a balloon)

I rush home and start making the signs for the balloons.....Cody walks in from his basketball lesson and gives his " yea that's good mom" seal of approval...

Now, we have to take them to Amanda's house. I'm all excited, I have the camera ready to take pictures...,oh this is going to be so cute. Then the bombshell was dropped....Cody says "I'm going to leave them on her doorstep and ding dong ditch her" I say oooooooo.k.

I really could not fight him on this because I knew he was nervous and leaving them on the doorstep was the least embarrassing way to do it. So her is the only picture I was allowed to take. I had to stay in the car with the lights off and the motor running so he could make a fast getaway......

As we are driving home he receives a text (you know high school kids can;t talk on the phone they only text) it says "YES".... yea, I'm excited. Cody talked to her later that night and I asked him what did she say,,,,,he says "nothing"(thats the response you get from a high schooler, remember they can't talk)....

11 YEARS AGO....

It was 11 years ago that hip hubby and I were preparing for our third child. We had family all lined up and ready to meet us at the hospital. If I remember correctly allmykids123 was watching Cody and Kyle. That morning was crazy! Hip hubby and I arrive at the hospital at 6 a.m. I get checked into a room and get changed! We are so excited and sooooo scared!!

The nurse walks into the room, I'm thinking to hook me up to all of the machines....oh, how wrong I was. She came in and said in this sweet voice, trying to be so nice,,,"I just spoke to you doctor and he had the delivery date wrong! He has you down for tomorrow." I said "WHAT" she said"he wants to talk to you" I say "o.k." Dr. S gets on the phone and tells me " I am so sorry, I put the wrong date on the calendar." " I hate to do this to you, but we will have to deliver the baby tomorrow", I say , through all of the tear "What are you talking about, I have everything ready for today and I am already here" He says "I'm so sorry, but I have surgery today. Tomorrow will be a better day" What was I suppose to say after that?

So hip hubby and I leave the hospital with a crew of nurses, they felt so bad, too. The nurses kept telling me that they would all be there tomorrow and they would be waiting for me...

GREAT.....Now I have to go home and I have the longest day of my life and another night of no sleep. So as hip hubby answered the 100's of calls and told everybody about the doctors mistake, I slept!!!!

SO, to make a long story short,,,the next day we had a replay of above ( just the going to the hospital, the Dr. was there) except this time when I walked in ALL of the nurses were waiting for me and they had the big, new,totally awesome delivery room waiting just for me and hip hubby......we were treated like like royalty. It really was special...I felt like a princess.....and the Dr. well lets just say, I got what ever I wanted.....most Dr. will just be on call waiting to catch the baby,,,,not Dr. S. He was waiting right outside of the room. He was coming in so much that the nurses wanted him to leave...he was trying to make up for his mistake. I felt like the only mommy in the hospital that day.......

This is one of the perks of living on a golf course. You get to have the crap scared out of you while watching T.V. After running through the house I saw what I had heard. I ran out in out backyard to see who was on hole #7. What to you know, no one was there!

So, I called the golf course and they sent out the marshall. Of course no one would fess-up.

So this is what I am left with a nice big hole in the widow. And wouldn't ya know it, it was one of our large windows in the family room. Why could it have been a smaller window????

I waited for hip hubby to come home and get out the big ladder to check out the damage!

Thank goodness we have double pain windows (which I just found out) and it just broke the outside window. Now, I can sleep tonight knowing that no wild animals can get in the house.

Here's the evidence that we found. To bad the golfer was not attached to the ball !!!

All I have to say to the golfer is you must really stink at golfing, cause my house over looks the tee-box. So you really need to get some golf lessons! And since you did not fess-up to pay for the window you broke, you can use that $$$$ to pay for the lessons that you need!

Today ended up being a project day. With all of our plans cancelled due to Ike ( go figure.... after all of the news reports we did not give even one drop of rain). I figured I better get going on my Halloween decorations. Who knows when we will have a free weekend again! I just love this decoration!!! I use the big jar and sticks for other holiday decorations, too. I pretty much do the same thing for Valentines, Easter, and Christmas. All you have to do is decorated like you are decorating a tree. I just add the cob web and add some black birds and spiders. I love the table runner, I found this last year at Pottery Barn and had to have it.
You can see the spiders hanger and the ones in the cob web. Those black birds look so real. The big spider are sooooo scary!!!! Happy Halloween!

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?

So exciting Cody had his second football game of the season. The are 2 and 0!!!

I have to say it is pretty exciting watching your son play for his high school team! We were suppose to play the game on Saturday but with hurricane IKE coming our way they changed it to Friday night. IKE was headed straight for us up until Thursday, so all the schools rescheduled the games. Connor's game for Saturday got cancelled. But, wouldn't ya know it, late Thursday night IKE decided that he wanted a piece of Houston. So after all that news talk of 100 mph wind and 10-12 inches of rain.....nada, nothing. It is pretty and sunny here. And we have a free weekend (more on that later)

You can see Cody out there in #8. He plays wide-receiver. It was 3rd down and 8 yards to go and Cody caught a 12 yard pass for a first down.( I had to ask hip hubby all of those exact details) I would have just said they through him the ball and he caught it and the team got 10 more yards.....That's how a girl would say it.

O.M.G. Just way too cute for words....Don't ya just love the black gloves? Those are so he has a better grip on the football....

SO, I always wanted to be the house with the kids yard sign in the yard.....well, now I am.

Yes, this is me with not 1 but 2 yard signs...Love it. I guess they do this in other parts of the country or maybe it's just a TEXAS thing. You know TEXAS loves it's football. The schools sell yard signs for each of the sports that your kids play. I already have the basketball one waiting in the garage...

I think I'm all that because I have yard signs.......boy the little things that make me happy??

Go figure..

I almost forgot the most important news of the week. Cody got elected as treasure for student council. Yes, our little freshman is making his way through high school just fine. We are so proud of him....Way to go, CODY. I mean Mr. Treasure.....

Now that I am a official mom of a Freshman football player I get to wear my own football jersey. The mom's all ordered these football jerseys to wear to the games and one of the mom's said she could help bling them up! You know I jumped all over that.

Bling, need you say more.

So I went to her house and got a quick lesson on the proper way to bling the jerseys.

So while I am waiting for the washing machine repair guy this is what I did.

Pretty darn cute! You know us mom of all boyz will bling any and everything we get a chance too! The good thing about this is I know my hip Cody will be able to pick me out in the crowd!

If you remember the post I posted a few months ago, I talked about my washing machine. It has been having some bad days and decides that it needs to take a few days off and then he show back up to work. Well on his last laundry room vacation I called the repair man. He show's up, only to have the washing machine working when he gets here so there is nothing he can do to fix it. He gladly charges me the $55.00 service fee...... So last Monday when the machine decided to take another vacation I called the repair man,,,,,he came that day, so thankfully he was able to find something wrong with it....Yea.....and then he springs it on me that he will have to order a part and that will take a week......I say " are you kidding me?" "it case you did not notice I have laundry that is flowing out the laundry room and in to the kitchen" SO he says he will put a rush on it...

So over the weekend I have to drag all of our laundry to my mom's house ( it took up the entire back of my suburban) she says she will do all the laundry for me and can come back and pick it up...Hey this broken washing machine things not to bad....

So after not having a washing machine for 9 days.....my favorite repairman is coming today between 12-4......Yea...So this is what will meet him when he shows up and he better have the right part or someone is going to get hurt....

I was watching the Today show this morning and they had a story on a Mom and Dad that were injured in a plane crash. It really caught my attention when they said that the mom as an avid blogger. Her blog site has raised over 100,000 dollars to help with her and her husbands medical care. They were both burned severally in the plane crash. I think this story has touched me so much because it puts a meaning to the blogging. Yes, we chat back and forth with the bloggers that we like and we check out their blogs daily so see if they have up dated it. This blogger Stephanie is a mom of 4 and loved to blog. Now her life has been turned upside down. It brings tears to my eyes to know that the blogging world has rallied around her. This is a wonderful community to be apart of and I encourage you to read her blog and keep her family in your prayers. nieniedialogues

o.k. I have been meaning to share this awesome "score" that I made.

First let me start by saying that I hate going to stores like Home Goods, Marshalls, TJ max. My mom says that I'm not a digger. She is a digger. I walk into these stores and I just start to sweat. I makes me nervous all of the stuff everywhere. So here I am a grown woman walking behind my mommy stomping my feet cuz, I don't want to shop here. She thinks it's funny, but will never go with me again. So I buy this cute purse. Keep it for a day and decided that I really don't want this purse. So now I have to mustard up the courage to go back to the store and return the purse. I have to all by myself....and the sweating begins.

I get in line to return the purse and get up to the counter I see this really way cute table behind the counter and think someone has that on hold. I ask the sales girls and she says she is getting ready to put it back on the floor. So I casually ask how much is it? She says $49.00. I think I screamed 'WHAT". SO I take a closer look and see that the top of the table is metal and the design looks like a cross......So I buy it......Yes, little old me buys something at the store that makes me so nervous and I did it with out my mommy there.

So, I guess I will have a new outlook on these stores> I will for sure be checking out there home goods, but you can forget about the clothes........those racks of clothes make me break out it hives.

Been wondering where I have been? Well, after the shock of having a high schooler wore off, I got busy. I don't know if I have shared with your or not but about 12 years ago (boy time flies) I had a very booming jewelry business. I love making jewelry and being creative. At the time I had a 2 and one year old. When I found out I was going to have hip kid # 3, that when I decided that my business need to go on the back burner and I needed to play mommy. Well, that back burner stayed lit longer than I thought. Having 3 boys takes all of my time and I love it. So after thinking about it I decided to start up again. This time on a much smaller scale. So here are few of my favorite pieces..... I hope you like them as much as I do. I have already been approached by 2 boutiques to carry my line of jewels. I have not decided what I am going to do just yet. I'm just honored that they want me....

First of all I must say "someone is messing with me."

My life is full of BOYZ and BOYZ STUFF.

Connor is having his back to school night, tonight!!

So we are so excited that he got one of the most requested 5th grade teachers, Mrs. K.

She rocks and is a great boy teacher. Our older boyz go to school together so we have know her for awhile. She called us last week to tell us that she is going to be Connor's 5th teacher. Then she tells me that she has been working on her new room and her theme is...........

The San Antonio SPURS (basketball).

I have have come to the conclusion that I am and will always and forever be surrounded by sporting events. Thank goodness that Nordstroms is very close!!!!

So, we needed a back to school gift for Connor's new teacher. So what did I come up with, this fabulous Spurs wreath....I know way too cute. I figure she can hang it on her door or somewhere in the classroom.

Kinda a blurry picture but I wanted to show you that I added Spurs basketball cards. I'm a little impressed with myself, cuz I was reading onewiredwoman and she had all her teachers gifts ready. So she put the pressure on me to get mine going . I put this together in about an hour. The great this is that we have Spurs season tickets so we are always coming home with stuff so I just had to go to Michaels and get the ribbon....

My mom ordered this magazine for me, thinking she was being all nice and stuff.

NOT....I opened it up and started to read it and everything in it is for women over the age of 40.

Are you kidding me? I think I need to remind my mom of the year I was born. Surely she has not forgotten, I know she was there. So let me just share what is in this wonderful magazine for women over the age of 40,which does not apply to me. I think this will give us all something to look forward to. The articles are: visible lift for wrinkles, neutrogena anti-wrinkles, Chico's, ROC deep wrinkle treatment, Olay sculpting cream, Aveeno ageless cream, Garnier anti-puff eye roller, Maybelline age rewind, Shredded Wheat (that's o.k. I like that), GNc fish oil, keeping your boos healthy and lifted (don't have that problem), Botox, Juvederm, and more Botox, Soy Milk, Cymbalta (that one I get cuz I am going to be depressed) menopause, srtivectin neck cream, and I saved the best for last......your sex drive will decrease (WHAT)

So is this suppose to be a good magazine or a magazine that makes you fell like sh##, cuz you are 40?????

I'M NOT 40 (yet) I STILL HAVE A WAYS TO GO.

Hangin' at the Bar

Cousin Brooke turns 13. This is the only way my boyz are going to see the inside of a bar.

Brooke's parents own a steak house and bar called The Stockyard.

They closed it down during the day on Saturday so Brooke could have her 13th birthday party there. It was really a lot of fun and this would be the only time the boyz would be allowed to enter the bar side of it.

This is what I walked in on last night. Connor was suppose to be putting clothes up, but he decided that having a hanger fight would be more fun. So the second time I go in his room with the camera he and hip hubby are calling it fencing.

Connor said it was just like the olympics (O.K. if you say so)

It really was kinda funny to watch them go at it with the hangers.

So sorry hip hubby but once you break your hanger you're disqualified.

So Connor will end up walking away with the GOLD. Way to go. Now only if we can convince the Olympics that hanger fencing is a sport, I think you could make the American team.....

Just the cutest brace-face ever......

Today was a very big day in our house. Kyle got his 3rd set of braces! Yes, you read that right 3rd set. His 1st set was because he had a very stubborn front tooth that decided that it was never going to come down, so 4 years ago at the age of 9 and still not having a front tooth the dentist went up and surgically pulled it down and the braces were used as an anchor to pull it down. Those were removed after a year and that stubborn tooth started to make its way back up in his mouth and the braces had to go back on to pull it back down. Then the dentist decided he would put a wire on the back of his front teeth to hold it in place. Now that all of that drama is over, he got braces for the right reason today, to have some straight pretty teeth.

Don't ya just love the look on his face. He was not very happy with me cuz I was taking pictures. Sorry, babe its a mom thing!!! Get use to it..

This is my fav. He is giving me the look of hurry up and take the picture, because you are embarrassing me mom.

I hope you noticed that I changed the color from green to black, that is because Kyle did 1/2 of his bands green and 1/2 of them black...at least he was showing his creative side!!!!

I have some very upsetting news to report.....

It's official, I now am the proud owner of a.....drum roll please.....

HIGH SCHOOL FRESHMAN....

I'm not sure when this happened. I have lost my baby. If anyone finds him please let me know. We will be offering a very large reward...

No, really all joking aside. I knew this day was coming and I have been trying to prepare myself for this next stage in Cody's life. My mom always told me "Don't blink your eyes, because they grow up in a minute." I hate to say this, but she was right. I must have blinked somewhere along the way, because he is 12 days away from starting high school. Oh, goodness I'll be right back...hard to type with tears in your eyes.. Seriously, I really am crying. O.K. enough of that for now. I went to my first official parent meeting last night at Cody's new school. It was a meeting for the football parents. Hip Hubby was out of town on business, so it was up to me to get the football information. (funny, I know) So I happily decide that I will jump right in and volunteer. They needed help selling football gear so Michelle and I decide that we would help SELL!

RIGHT, I ended up buying 1/2 of the items they had to sell. Of course, I blame hip hubby for this. I mean he did send me there to take care of football business... So when all was said and done I ended up with a cute tote bag, 2 baseball hats, 2 shirts for hip hubby,2 coasters, an umbrella (that was free when you join the diamond backers) and 2 beach towels ( The were on sale 2 towels for $5.00. I thought that was a bargain)

So, I have decided that if I am going to have a high schooler, than I better look cute while I support him......

I'm sure as the weeks go on this is going to be the hot topic in our house.

Just a word of advice: Everyone out there in blogger land with little babies that keep you up late at night, the one that you are trying to potty train and even the little ones that are starting school for the first time this year. PLEASE REMEMBER WHAT MY MOTHER TOLD ME, SHE WAS RIGHT. DON'T BLINK.....oh god, here come the big tears, again....

I walked into the kitchen this morning and this is what I saw. At first I thought I saw a very big mess that I was going to have to clean up. But, then when I looked further I saw chocolate chips and I knew everything would be o.k.

My boyz have gone crazy....REAL CRAZy!

Let's back up a bit and let me tell you that these are the 2 hip boyz that freak out over their hair. They can only go to one girl to cut their hair. Now remember that Cody is going to High school and Kyle is in Middle school, need I say more? Hair is everything and their lives revolve around a good hair cut. Now, Cody has gotten a bad hair cut and he freaked out in the car and wanted me to call the hair place and have the lady fired! I told you boyz are freaks with hair cuts. So today when the boys said they wanted to get clippers and cut their own hair,

I freaked out!!!!

Being as smart as I am, I had the boyz wait until dad got home so that he could supervise. I'm no dummy, I knew if things went wrong they would need someone to blame and he would be the closest......

But, I was very surprised!!!! They did a great job. The most important thing is that they did not kill each other and they were very happy with the new look.

Just a little side note: Connor was M.I.A. he was

having no part in this!!!

Praying and Playing

Yes, you are see it! Children praying before a meal.

I know this happens on a daily basis and it happens in my home.

But, if you look really close at the picture you notice there are no adults.

It mean that my children did this on their own and had their friends praying, too.

This site brought a tear to my eye. Not because my children were praying but, because

they did this all on their own and did it in front of their friend. WOW.

This just makes me beam inside.

God is good.

God is cool.

Even when mom and dad are not looking.

Colorado is simply beautiful!!!

After one of Connor's game this is what we saw driving back to the condo. Thank goodness I was driving, because I just pulled over on the side of the road and took this amazing picture.

This happened while we were driving. I just loved all of the clouds, I think my fam was getting sick of me talking about how pretty the clouds were. I love the turn sign in the picture it looks like it is telling you to turn into the clouds.

I know a little obsessed with the clouds. But they were so pretty and so puffy.

Love the little barn sitting in the middle of nowhere. It was picture perfect.

GETTING THE TROPHY

I know you have been on the edge of your seat waiting to see the World Series Trophy for 3rd place.....Well here it is. Pretty awesome,right.

We had a wonderful week full of baseball and vacation(my 4th of the summer). Connor's team did great!!! We are so proud of you.

Here we are after getting the trophy. I know I look so great, but it was my 4 th game of the day.

I feel like all I ever talk about is sport events, but that is my life with 3 boyz. We had a wonderful week as a family. We were all there and we were blessed that my mom and dad and my niece were able to join us. So we had a great cheering section.

WAY TO GO DEVILS.....

p.s. I do want to ask for help. Can someone tell me how to get more than 5 pictures on a post. Every time I add pictures it will only let me add 5...HELP????

SAN ANTONIO DEVILS GET 3RD PLACE IN THE WORLD SEIRES!

It's Sunday night and we are still in Steamboat. Connor's team finished the world series this afternoon. After a week of baseball we are excited to finish in 3rd place.

Not to shabby for a little baseball team from San Antonio. We fly home tomorrow, but I just had to share the good news. I promise pictures and all of the details when we get home.
